Direct Care Provider
A Direct Care Provider offers hands-on support and supervision to individuals with physical, developmental, or mental health challenges. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders or administration (as allowed by law).
Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, recreational activities, and community outings.
Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and incidents according to care plans and agency policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the client's home or care facility.
Foster meaningful relationships and encourage social and emotional well-being.
Follow individual support plans (ISPs) and behavior intervention strategies.
Report concerns about health, safety, or behavioral issues to supervisors promptly.
